Optometrist, Therapeutically Endorsed

Matthew completed his Master of Clinical Optometry at UNSW with Distinction and is a qualified ophthalmic medicine prescriber. He is a member of the Australasian College of Behavioural Optometrists (ACBO).

Matthew previously worked in regional NSW in Nowra, where he had the opportunity to work closely with local communities and sharpen his clinical skills by managing more complex cases due to limited local ophthalmology services. Matthew became especially interested and passionate about Behavioural Optometry and Vision Therapy after working alongside other Behavioural Optometrists in his career and seeing the improvement improvements they bring to patients' quality of life.

Matthew enjoys looking after patients of all stage of life, from children with reading challenges, to adults seeking relief from visual fatigue. He loves to spend time getting to know his patients better in order to understand their visual needs and personalise his treatment accordingly.

Matthew has a special interest in myopia control for children and contact lenses, including orthokeratology. As someone with a high prescription himself, Matthew is passionate about the early detection and control of myopia in children.

In his spare time, Matthew enjoys playing basketball, cooking and eating yummy food with his wife. He also enjoys spending time with his church community.
