Lawrence has had professional interests in speciality contact lenses since he graduated from the School of Optometry at the University of New South Wales in 2006. He is a member of the Orthokeratology Society Oceania, the Corneal & Contact Lens Society of Australia, and the International Association of Contact Lens Educators.

As the contact lens consulting optometrist for ArtMost-GOV Australia Contact Lens Pty ltd, Lawrence also practices other scopes in optometry in Sydney, such as keratoconus management, dry eye management, myopia control, and designing orthokeratology contact lenses. He is passionate about helping patients rehabilitate their cornea and vision through specially-designed contact lenses. Lawrence is also providing ophthalmic dry eye management. In addition, he has also worked with several corneal specialists to conduct clinical contact lens research projects.
